Job Title - Warehouse Operative 

Reporting To - Operations Manager and Supervisors 

Role Purpose

To work as part of a Warehousing team performing a number of different business functions for a range of client IT equipment including accurate receipt and booking in of stock, warehousing of stock, recycling and picking/dispatch of stock. Is self-motivated and can work under pressure to achieve daily individual and team targets.

  • Carry out daily warehousing activities on a wide range of 2nd user IT equipment.
  • Work with other members of the team to ensure departmental targets are achieved.
  • Ensures all Client data is appropriately handled via approved company processes/methods.
  • Communicates with management team providing feedback on daily activity, handover and challenges faced.
  • Assists with any priority Client requirements, queries and problems as directed by the management team.
  • Complies and adheres to Company Policies & Procedures (HR, Health & Safety, ISO Certifications, Other Industry Accreditations)
  • Maintain site security and adhere to security policy & procedure.
  • Maintains good housekeeping practices.
  • Complete any other reasonable instruction from management.

  • Adhere to data protection/eradication policies
  • Achieves high levels of accuracy in all areas of the role.
  • Follows pipeline priorities as set by line manager
  • Be presentable, well groomed and wearing correct uniform while at work.
  • Achieve high levels of timekeeping and attendance.
  • Keep personal work areas clean while contributing to cleanliness and organisation of the department.
  • Participates in and successfully completes any company provided training.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Good product knowledge of a wide range of IT equipment (preferred but not essential)
  • Computer inputting skills, must be able to use computers at a basic level.
  • Be flexible and positive with approach to challenge/tasks that arise.
  • Demonstrates aptitude for working under pressure and can achieve individual targets/deadlines set.
  • Good ability to communicate well with individuals on the team and with line managers (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrates capability to assess and resolve basic problems as they arise.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office at basic level (Excel, Word, Outlook preferred but not essential.)
  • Flexi and/or Counterbalance fork truck licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Power Pallet truck licence (preferred but not essential)
  • Able to carry out safe manual handling regularly throughout the shift
