It is through these evidence-based certification standards that RDC are able to demonstrate the services we offer our customers meet with the exacting levels required by these international standards.

In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in concern about the risks involved in protecting confidential data from unauthorised release. The significance is now reflected in regulation of data use and storage; the EU General Data Protection Act (GDPR) and the updated UK Data Protection Act 2018, now legislate for large fines as well as high costs for remedying any such data breach.

By setting up our management systems to the International Standards for Information Security (ISO 27001) and Quality (ISO 9001), RDC are demonstrating the importance of processing data of our customers in a secure and consistent manner.

In addition to our ISO 27001 certification, RDC offers CAS(S) certified services for sanitisation of storage media to Secret level and below, as issued by the National Cyber Security Centre. This standard is specific to the UK central Government departments and demonstrates the level of experience and expertise that RDC can provide as part of a secure disposal process.

With a growing emphasis on the circular economy and sustainable business models, more and more customers are focussing on the environmental impact of the service.

RDC are able to provide peace of mind with our certification to the ISO 14001 standard. We focus on the environmental compliance by working closely with our downstream recycling partners to look for continual improvement in our supply chain. It is in this way that RDC are complying with and exceeding the level of compliance with the WEEE Directive.

Our environmental permit and waste carriers license allow RDC to transport customer assets using our internal fleet and store and process waste at our site.
