Redeployment

Products are securely returned to RDC’s processing facility where they will be booked into our asset management database and controlled as unique items throughout our process.

Typically, items will be checked for electrical safety, their specification and grade recorded along with serial & asset numbers, data will be securely eradicated and the product functionally tested.

The results of these activities will be compared to an agreed redeployment schedule in relation to specification and physical condition and if suitable assigned to redeployment.

Items subject to redeployment may be reimaged, upgraded, cleaned, kitted with accessories, boxed and then warehoused awaiting deployment instructions from the client.

The redeployment process is a sustainable solution, avoiding the cost and environment impact of deploying a new product, whilst prolonging the working life of an existing item and extending the asset investment over a new life cycle.

Remarketing

Items that are functional and are not required for redeployment are allocated to RDC’s world class remarketing department.  RDC prides itself in its 20 year leadership of global trading in IT assets.

We have established ourselves at the centre of this market and as such are able to ensure sales values are maximised, by the intelligent use of the global market and exploiting local demand and an established network of thousands of traders worldwide with whom we are in regular communication.

RDC is able to use this intelligence to advise clients on estate values and optimum timing for equipment replacement.  We are also supporting finance models where product acquisition costs can be offset by residual values in an agreed deployment cycle.
